Jumping Indoor Maastricht announces an important change today to further realise its ambitions. After decades of dedication, Jumping Indoor Maastricht bids farewell to Frank Kemperman as director. Since the foundation in 1988, he has been the face, the driving force and the architect of the international indoor event. He will remain closely involved with the organisation as an active advisor.
The daily management will be taken over by a dual leadership team. Joris Kemperman will continue in his role as director and, together with Claudia Mynott as operational director, will form the new management.
With this step, JIM BV chooses maximum continuity and ambition. The new leadership is tasked with safeguarding the successful course of recent years and further developing it in a focused way. This ensures that the unique combination of international top sport, grassroots sport, attention to youth, and Limburg hospitality will continue to define the event in the years ahead. The focus is on strengthening and refining Jumping Indoor Maastricht’s successful strategy as an international concours.
“JIM is close to my heart. After many years as director, this is the natural moment to hand over the daily leadership. I am proud that we have created a structure in which experience is preserved, while Joris and Claudia can further professionalise the organisation. As an advisor, I will continue to share my expertise with great pleasure to safeguard the quality of our wonderful event,” says Frank Kemperman in his new role as advisor.
“Frank approached me to take over the operational lead and, together with Joris, carry the responsibility for this iconic event. These are big shoes to fill, but thanks to Frank’s guidance and the support of a fantastic team, I have great confidence in the future. Building on our current successful course, our focus is on further developing JIM as a relevant and innovative international equestrian event for riders, sponsors and the public,” says Claudia Mynott.
“On behalf of the foundation, we are pleased with this natural transition. We are very grateful to Frank for his many years of vision and leadership. With the formation of this dual leadership, JIM BV is choosing a future-proof structure. We have full confidence in the collaboration between Joris and Claudia,” says Rino Soeters, Chairman of the JIM Foundation.
The next edition of Jumping Indoor Maastricht will take place from 5 to 8 November 2026. More information about the programme and the event will be available online soon.
